Of course, the horizon is my favorite subject. I remember that July 13, my birthday, I woke up extra early despite sleeping late. I was so excited and hopeful to see the sun at dawn despite the clouds and promising rain that time. It was a childlike faith, which was actually granted by God.
What’s more is that I got the chance to capture the lighting that same night. I patiently tried and tried until I got this photo using my sister’s Canon Powershot D10. How I wished that I already had my DSLR earlier so that I could have taken more quality photos. Nevertheless, I am happy that I was able to manage with what I have.
I am looking forward to my birthday trip this year despite the busy life that awaits me. Pray for me, friends. Thanks!

Finally, after nearly two months, I managed to paint again last weekend. I did two plates to release stress apart from the Holy week activities we usually do here in the Philippines. I also did not have the luxury of swimming or traveling like what many of my fellow countrymen did.
And I wish to paint at least one plate every month. Any tips?

With the little salary I’m getting as a nurse, I was able to save up and fly to Cebu last July 2012. I celebrated my birthday with my two siblings, my niece and my brother-in-law. This was my first flight ever in my 22 years of existence and I am grateful that God had everything under control, like He always does. More travel to come!

For 22 years, I’ve only looked up to the sky and dream one day I’d be closer to it.
Then on that day, before I turn 23, I was this close.
I was like a child in pure awe and amazement.
